What makes me stand out from my fellow translators is my ability to produce readable translations. While this sounds obvious, you are probably aware that it is not. Businesses often have great difficulty getting their message across in foreign languages because the translations they use are awkward, and therefore alienate their readers rather than attract them. Translations, however, should read like they were original source texts; readers should not realize they are actually reading a translation.

In a broader sense, my field of expertise includes current affairs in politics and society, as well as creative assignments with an attention to cultural specificity. Projects include books, theses, lectures, programs, and articles for government agencies, humanitarian organizations, research organizations, and universities.
Subtitling is another field of expertise, mostly on behalf of DVD releases.
